There’s a definite feeling that Fujiya & Miyagi are upping their game with each release. This year has already bought the acclaimed album Ventriloquizzing; Different Blades from the Same Pair of Scissors – a 37-minute long track made especially for runners with impeccable taste in new music; a coveted spot on one of Bowlegs’ vital, fashionable and in no way self-serving mixtapes; and now this, Ecstatic Dancer, a brand new single.
The song is very much a continuation of the work on Ventriloquizzing, combining the now trademark hushed vocals with some progressive Krautrock, low-down and dirty funk and a touch of glam. It’s released this week through Full Time Hobby and we’ve already filmed a session with the boys.
